Short Stay Neurocognitive Evaluation Program

Realize Your Full Potential

A Memory Clinic patient engages in conversation with a dementia care specialistThe short stay neurocognitive evaluation program includes a minimum 21-day visit at Copper Ridge’s award winning community, where participants enjoy an engaging, secure and supportive environment. The program was designed to assist individuals with possible or confirmed Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias who could benefit from diagnostic evaluations, or who may be struggling in their current environment. Using the most recent advancements in the treatment and diagnosis of memory disorders, an inter-disciplinary team led by our neuropsychiatrist evaluates individuals over a three week period. This team reviews and discusses the diagnosis, recommended treatments, and the person’s response to various therapeutic and social experiences with families and caregivers so they can best support their loved one. In addition to supporting both residents and the greater community, the Copper Ridge team often conducts evaluations for people who are currently living in an assisted living, skilled nursing or retirement community.

The short stay neurocognitive evaluation provides a next step to a new or existing diagnosis to ensure greater clarification, support the caregiver and help every individual live life to their fullest potential.
